I mean, I have been very interested with the Mormon religion and they dont accept homosexuals there. They treat it like a disease. Recently, My girlfriends mother moved her away the day after she found out her daughter was gay. To me that doesnt seem like it would be a very loving or forgiving faith. I want the feeling of God without feeling dirty. and most of the time, I dont even really believe he's there.

why do people who choose a certain lifestyle desire to belong to any group which does not accept as members, people that do not meet the criteria of membership?
there are so-called 'christian churches' that have sidestepped the Bible's stand towards gays and lesbians, btu in doing so have proven that they have left the truth.
If a person wants to be lesbian, do so without guilt. But if you want to try and harmonize that choice with the Bible, you will find it impossible. There is only one way to bring a life into harmony with God's standards. That is to stop doing all activities that are not in agreement with the standards set forth in scripture.
I learned to walk away from years of drug dependancy.
Many have walked away from lives of fornication.
Others have turned away from stealing.
Still others have turned aside from the choice of the gay or lesbian conduct.

A) god hasn't been proven to be a he... Frankly I think there is a male and a female.B) certain people were sent here that are different to try to help people have more understanding and to be nicer to each other. So far most of humanity has failed to be more loving and tender in anyway but than again most humans are stupid.C) Being close to god or gods is something you find in your own way... A bunch of strangers on a site can never help you with that.D) If you really look into religous history it all started out as the same thing and got messed up when it was being spread around. That is why there is so much religous argument is because different places or different groups heard something different and just went with it without learning truth first. I am sorry I can't give you more but I do however wish you luck on your spiritual journey.

I am a member of the LDS church and will try to address your question from my perspective.

First, homosexuals are not outcasts and should not be treated as such, but you must remember that members of the church are not perfect. We are supposed to treat all people with love, respect and kindness even if we disagree with their beliefs or behaviors. We do accept homosexuals in church, but we view sexual intercourse in homosexual relationships as sin, just like fornication or any other sin.
Because of this, I think members of the church don't intend to offend homosexuals, but rather that they feel uncomfortable or even fearful and thus give off a very negative feeling. Your girlfriend's mom was most likely just trying to be a good mom by trying to protect her daughter from something that she sees as a threat to her daughter's spirituality. It may seem very harsh to you, but again, I am certain that the mom only had good intentions, right or wrong.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is a very forgiving faith but also has very high standards to include abstinance from sexual relations of any type before marriage as well as from drugs, alcohol, tobacco, etc. We also expect members to try to faithfully obey all of God's commandments. We all struggle with some aspect of obedience to the Gospel laws. For me, repentance is how I feel God's love without feeling dirty.

I hope that my words have not offended you. If you would like to ask me any other questions please feel free to e-mail me. Good luck.

Who says we are all here for a reason? It sure doesn't seem that way. Homosexuality isn't natural that's why they are, and should be, treated as any other minority.

I think there are more gays now than it's ever been, I don't think anyone is born gay, and I think many act as if it was a trend. They are attracted to same sex. What you are attracted to depends on many things. I don't think it should be treated as if it was so great or natural or normal to be gay.

No one is born that way, it is a choice.

1Corinthians 6:9 Don’t you know that evil people will not receive God’s kingdom? Don’t be fooled. Those who commit sexual sins will not receive the kingdom. Neither will those who worship statues of gods or commit adultery. Neither will men who are prostitutes or who commit homosexual acts. 10 Neither will thieves or those who always want more and more. Neither will those who are often drunk or tell lies or cheat. People who live like that will not receive God’s kingdom. 11 Some of you used to do those things. But your sins were washed away. You were made holy. You were made right with God. All of that was done in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

Some of you used to do those things…

He is there whether you see him or not. As a parent, the goal I hope I have achieved with my teenage daughters is that they behave in a way that raises up all.(We are all the family of God the Father Gen. 20:12)

There are groups where you can feel God/dess without feeling dirty. Any place that calls themselves a place of God then tries to make you feel dirty for being there is not what they should be. Find a group that welcomes all alike. They are out there.

Its not the person per say it is the persons actions that are rejected just like any other person who commits lewd acts. IE. Fornication, adultery, theft, murder. a sin is a sin in the eyes of God.

God does not like the sin, He loves the sinner. He gave his some for all of the sinners. One thing is what you choose to do and another what you do knowing it is wrong.
