i've liked this guy for a year and now i'm going out with him! we've been dating almost a month now and i already feel that really strong rare connection with him! the problem is we have both been hurt in the past but i wanted to tell him how much i love him! is it to soon...will i scare him away?

Don't bring up the "L" word yet... It just might scare him off but you can tell him in other ways u like him alot.. Tell him I really care for you. You make me feel as no other man has ever. See how he reacts to that and what he says. You'll know by the end of that converstation wether u should leave the "L" word out for now.

You should really wait a few more months. Because if you tell him now it will seem like you are rushing things. And since both of you have been hurt in the past then it is a strong possibility that you will scare him away. So until that perfect and special moment comes when you tell him that you love him never stop showing how much you appreciate him and already love him without saying it. But time that special I LOVE YOU moment just right because that will the one that he will always remember. GOOD LUCK!!! And when that moment comes you and both of you are ready, you both will know. Well the word love is one of the most powerful words in any language I believe. It should not be taken lightly or thrown around casually. If you really truly feel that you love this person than sit him down and tell him you have very strong feelings for him and kinda guage his reaction of that on whether or not you should go all out and tell him exactly how you totally feel about him. I personally, think a month is a bit soon but only you know what is right for you and how you truly feel! Good Luck! (hopefully he feels the same way about you too)

If you're sure, go ahead and say it. However, do not expect a reciprocal declaration from him, or get upset with him if it doesn't come. It doesn't mean that he doesn't care about you or won't ever feel that way, just might not be there yet; especially if he's been hurt in the past.

When you tell him that you love him he will be happy. Go for it.
* Added note.... I just read what Kimberly had to say. I would do as she suggests. That is wise because if he doesn't feel the same then he might be spooked off. But if you start with as she suggested, I think he would be OK with that even if he wasn't ready for love. Good advice Kimberly.
