Why can't I get my "System Restore" to work although I have done everything according to the manual?

On most computers, press F10 at BIOS start. Microsoft system restore go to programs>accessories>system tools>system restore

What windows version are you using?

If it's windows xp.
Try going to " Start Menu / Control Panel / Administration Tools / Services " and check if the "System Restore" service is Activated. If not, set it to "Automatic" and "Enable". If it already was... try someone else's answer.
