Must be a very large round hole, but I would say half a day, providing you mean a half a hole of the same size as the one you mentioned!

It is impossible to dig half a hole, A hole is a hole size depth width no matter a hole is a hole, also one day one foot deep if he worked for me i would sack him lazy **********

impossible to dig HALF a hole once the shovel removes the dirt you have an entire hole and until the dirt is removed there is no hole
