my ex sued me back in june for custody after i sued him for support and we got ordered in july to pay for a home evaluation i paid my half he didnt i just got a letter from my lawyer that he didnt pay his so he is being held in contempt of court so does anyone know what will happen now ?we have court on oct 6th ..

also wanted to let you know i have had custody of my kids for 10 yrs .i dont drink i dont do drugs i dont smoke nothing,,,i am a full time mom i take my kids everywhere all the appointments ,events everything went to all the school meetings i mean everything ....he is just pissed cause i finally sued him thru the court house after only recieving 50 a week for 10 yrs for four boys

WE DIDNT HAVE A HOME EVALUATION CAUSE BOTH PARTIES HAVE TO PAY IN ORDER FOR IT TO HAPPEN I PAID MY HALF MY EX DIDNT THAT IS WHY HE IS BEING HELD IN CONTEMPT

Well, it certainly will not look good for your ex! Judges don't like having to waste their time with this sort of nonsense (people not doing what the court has ordered.) Your ex sounds like an idiot anyways, who just wants custody because you want child support. Just make sure you are doing what you need to to keep your child, good luck!

It depends on what your evaluation turned up. If it turned up that you were a good caring MOM and you are able to provide for your kids. He is F**ked. He didnt pay for his evaluation, therefore, it makes a statement that he cant afford his debts and he cant properly take care of those kids. He could very well get time in jail for contempt or probation. You will get those kids if you passed the evaluation.

he'll still have to pay plus a good chance of a fine,if he pulls a no show then the judge can order a bench warrant for his arrest good luck with the hearing,no child should be taken from it mother unless she is unfit;it's very hard for a man to win custody unless you've done something really bad
