Deep fried tofu snack:

- mix some flour, salt, spices, raw egg and a little water
- boil cabbage in real salty water

- cut the tofu in long cubes (one and half inch by one inch)

- carefully cut the tofu cubes halfway and stuff like a small sandwich with the salty cabbage. Stick a toothpick in it, to keep it together

- now dip the tofu cubes in the mixture above and deep fry !

Tastes great when served with a sauce made off ketchup, soya sauce and some chili.

Bon appetit !!

Roasted Chick Peas!
I use canned, so if you had dried they'd need to be prepared first.
Heat your oven to about 180-200 C (350-400F)
Pop your chick peas in a ceramic dish, add a few cloves of garlic to taste and some fresh rosemary sprigs. Put in a little dollop of honey if you like them sweet (NOTE: vegans don't eat honey and some veggies may choose not to either), add a slug of olive oil and mix it all up, then squeeze over a lemon. Roast them for about 40 minutes or until they're nicely browned and the lemon juice has evaporated, then enjoy once they've cooled down a bit. They're tart-sweet and delicious!

Raw cauliflower or broccoli with ranch dressing. Although I suppose the ranch dressing isn't really vegetarian, eh? Hmmmmm....

Yep - celery and peanut butter, with raisins. If I want something less sweet - whole unbleached almonds sautéed with olive oil and sea salt (goes good with a beer).
