Frequent bladder infections could be a sign of a kidney problem or urethra problem. If you have frequent infections you should probably be evaluated by a urologist. Most women find that drinking cranberry juice or taking a supplement like CranActin can help - but first see the specialist.
Yeast is part of a woman's normal body flora but can grow out of control in certain situations - like if you are on antibiotics for the bladder infection then all the bacteria is killed but then the yeast can take over. There are some very good overthecounter anti-yeast products now. If you've had this problem before, then whenever you have to take antibiotics just purchase the yeast treatment before hand and use at the first sign of a problem.
Pregnancy can also cause a problem with yeast because of the changes in the vagina.
If you have problems with both yeast and UTI, you should be evaluated to see if you are diabetic. The excess sugar in a diabetic's system promotes bacterial and yeast infections.

I couldn't say why you have so many bladder infections. But I have suffered same for years in the past. In fact my doctor used to say, "Anytime it's going to rain, you will get it again." Make me think it had something to do with dampness, but never figured it out. But I then discovered Cranberries. Cranberries can't cure bladder infection, but they can prevent it. It seems there is something in them that will coat the lining of the bladder and prevent germs from sticking and flush them out etc. So I used to drink cranberry juice everyday, but after a while I got tired of the taste and found that cranberry pills work just as well. They can be found at most drug stores and health food stores.

It could be tight fitting clothing, how you wipe after you go to the bathroom (back to front is bad and passes bacteria), frequent sexual encounters (use the bathroom afterwards to clear your urinary tract), not drinking enough water.
The source below suggest irritation from spermicide, or sexual intercourse during your period.
I would suggest talking to your doctor about it and try and figure out the problem.

re cranberry juice .... research shows that it can cause a problem if you take Warfarin which is an anti-coagulant/ blood thinner. Please check with doc before you drink lots of cranberry juice. It certainly would be a good idea to be screened for diabetes if only to rule it out.
