I have been with my boyfriend for 3 months now, and He needs to update his status with INS. He and I are having a great relationship, and he doesnt want to mess it up by asking me to marry him so that he can get a green card. I want to marry him ecuase thats what I see in our future, but will that be ruined if I marry him now, instead of later, or would it make sense for me to let him marry someone else for a green card- even though he will have to live with her for six months after the marriage.

Look you do not want to marry this man just because he wants a green card. That is for all the wrong reasons. Listen to your heart, and it will tell you the same thing it is telling me, do not marry this guy.

The dude probably does not want to return to his native country and is willing to marry any American lady, even if the American lady weighs 600 pounds, in order to secure his chances of getting a Green Card to stay in the USA.

Good Luck.

in case you get married collectively as he isn't yet a citizen, it is going to take you some distance some distance LONGER to get the eco-friendly card than it would decrease than a fiance visa - additionally you will desire to understand that he's not eligible to apply the fiance visa because of the fact he isn't a citizen. you will desire to prepare as married and which will take a minimum of 5 years because of the fact he isn't a citizen yet. and you are able to not stay in united states of america for those 5 years. you will desire to circulate homestead and wait. those are the regulations.

If you love him and want to be with him, marry him but if you want to do it just for his greencard, it won't be as happy a marriage than you'd like it to be.
