I am getting ready to take over the Kung Fu school where I have been practicing since the seventh grade, as my Sifu is moving. I have a copy of his waiver form, but I want to be sure it's complete. Does anyone have anything they wish they'd included in their waiver/liability forms?

My instructor was a paralegal as his day job, what he has has already been looked over by several lawyers. However, people make mistakes or forget things. I'm running anything I get through here past him, but I need things to run past him.

I have to agree with Jerry L on this; checking with a lawyer might have the transfer of the school over to you, and making it your responsiblity a more easier transition so that if something happens the previous instructor cannot be held in liability for something that happens, even if he is an owner of the school as a branch school.

so having some legal counsel would be a really good idea to make sure that you don't have any leagal troubles between you and your instructor later.

There is no substitute for legal advice. To make sure you're waivers are completely up to date with all the current laws and ordinances, you should have a lawyer look it over.
