What do they do?

My Petey always comes and tells me when the box no longer meets his standards! :-)

He taps me on the leg, and makes a certain little chirping noise, and then I know it is time to do the box! :-))

My (five) cats always use the box - they NEVER go anywhere else. They are indoor cats.

YES!! My cat does something different than what anyone else has mentioned...I don't know how he does it, I haven't caught him in the act of doing it, but he will actually put the scooper inside the litter box. I'll find the scooper just lying inside the litter box. It's pretty funny actually, it's like he's saying, "Heellloooo, a little help here?"

Cats do in comparison to transformations till they're the only making the thoughts. at first, if this situation has been occuring considering Day a million with this stray, then your situation is that the cat has not been 'housebroken' and loo-experienced. Such issues do not take place in one day, particularly with highway-cats whom you probably did not pickup whilst they're nonetheless kittens. What I generally do is lock them up with often refreshed food, water and the kitty-clutter in a nicely-ventilated detailed room for a minimum of a week or extra till the destructive cat is acclimatized on your place. you will possibly desire to compliment a room which maximum appropriate would desire to be the everlasting kitty-clutter room for the cat, or you may desire to pass the kitty clutter to a coated backyard after the cat has started employing the clutter for all rest room activities. everywhere it is placed, verify that its nicely ventilated and which you clean the clutter sand and the kitty waste a minimum of two cases an afternoon. Cats are fussy and clean animals. stable luck and function a magnificent existence with the cat.

well if u observe enuff u'll roughly know how long a new change can lat before needing another change. at 1st ur cat may not be so used to notify u... u just have to have the instinct. once they know the way they may just avoid their litterbox and settle elsewhere or maybe they'll do something to attract u. all u need to do is to study them & understand their kind of language.

They do their thing somewhere else, not in the litter box. Cats are very sensitive and they like to remain clean, so they wouldn't want to get themselves dirty there. Oh, and it would definitely smell very strongly and nasty, when the box needs to be cleaned. It's not so difficult just to keep your eye on the box as well. Good luck. ;-)

MIne always let me know when their box needs to be cleaned. One goes to the door and meows to be let out, another would attack the first person going near the box, and the first cat that we had would just go elsewhere - that'll make you rush to clean that box!

Some do and some... will just find somewhere else to go. (yuck)

My kitty boots will go into the crate room (where her litter box is located) and stand in the doorway and meow, meow, meow.
If I don't come, she will come into the room I'm in and when I get up to move around in the house, she will trot in front of me into the crate room to her litter pan.

I have a white Persian male who will track down my husband to change his box if there is one lump in it! Talk about a prissy cat!

Obviously, your cat notifies you. When I lived with my grandmother a while back, I remember her two cats, one of which was quite smart, didn't do anything in particular if the litterbox was full. I remember watching "Weasel" (the smart one) pawing through the sand after he took a (Gulp!) dump or wizz and wondering like you, "Why?".

I USE THE CLUMPING KIND OF LITTER AND REMOVE THE CLUMPS EVERY DAY-- NO NEED TO FOR CAT TO CRAP ON THE RUG TO LET ME KNOW THE BOX IS DIRTY.
