Norton really has you brainwashed into thinking you have to have their stuff. The only Norton software worth having is Ghost for copying hard drives. There are tons of free stuff out there that does a much better job than Norton will ever be able to do.
Google these;
anti-virus - AVG
firewall - Kerio
spyware blocker - spywareblaster
spyware remover - adaware, and spybot search and destroy

For free? Win it in a contest?

You aren't asking us to commit a CRIME here, are you? Or expose ourselves to civil action that will result in a 6-figure fine? I wouldn't think that you'd be doing that.....

Agreed, download one of the freebies.

And, I agree, Norton (home edition) isn't my favorite either.

If you're really brave, download a version of Linux and run that instead of Windows -- virtually zero viruses!!!!

Nowhere. And Norton is probably the worst anti-virus thingy out there. It will mess with your computer, and if you like games, forget it.

Get Norton '06. It's more up-to-date with the internet viruses than '05.

Ignore the guy above me. Adaware gives you viruses, not remove them.
