Most conditioners don't help and the ones that do leave the most damaged parts beautiful but the rest really oily. Also, I know there is an overnight conditioner made by pro-v but can't find it. Any ideas?

Use a reconstructer pack on ur hair once a week, (u can get these at Sallys Beauty Supply, there like 99 cents and u can use one pack at least two times maybe three depending on the length of ur hair) it builds up strength in the hair, use a good shampoo, then apply conditioner to the bad end parts only, the best way is to flip hair over then apply keeping it off the scalp, after u rinse this out do a cool water rinse to seal cuticle layer down, then use a spray on leave in conditioner apply same way with head flipped over. if u swim alot there are anti chlorine shampoos and conditioners to prevent chlorine buildup.

Conditioners work on the exterior part of the hair. If you want to use conditioner, focus it on the ENDS, not the scalp.

If you are blonde, and have greenish dry hair, use ketchup. Sounds gross, I know, but the ketchup removes the green tint. Leave the ketchup in your hair for about 20 minutes, and then rinse and shampoo. It doesn't do much for the damaged ends, but trim them up and condition for a few days, and you should be good to go.

I use Matrix Biolace leave in conditioner that I bought from Great Clips after the hair dresser keep comment on how dry my hair was from over coloring it. Normally my hair is very oily so I used to use conditioner very sparingly until the dresser commented on it. Now that I've started using it (and usually only use it on the ends) she said that the condition of my hair has greatly improved, and I avoid that weird, overly oily but nice ends look

Okay, the damage is already done. Needless to say, you should go to a professional next time. Walmart has an oil you use and it's not cheap, but it will give your burnt and damaged hair a temporary fix. My best advice, is that you have the damaged hair cut away and be done with your mistake. Hair will grow back.
