Heres what I do.

If you two don't have never really spoken:
Just make a point of looking him in the eye when he passes and saying "Hello" rather than some other greeting. The "Hello" will make him take notice. Hold his gaze just a little longer than usual, all the time smiling just a little. This makes them wonder about you.

If you know each other already:
Just touch him a little more. A hand on the shoulder it very noticable. Look in his eyes as you do it. Small things like when you want his attention, don't just say his name, lightly place you hand on his arm. Or, pretend to take some lint off of his shirt. Any touch, he'll look at you, and you look him in the eye. Eye contact is key no matter what.

But in all rthings, don't overdo it. If you allow him to think you're stupid, that's just how he'll treat you. So flirty is okay, but always in moderation

there's a thing called non-obvious flirting that me and my girls do. If we like a guy but dont want to come out and say it we stay real close to him without being under him or we'll talk to him and have a nice conversation. Get other people involved in the conversation so you dont make it obvious. Make an impression on him that would make him say "Who is that girl?" (You know smile at him, direct questions to him.
