Is there any body in Colorado (Preferably somewhere close to Falcon) who wouldn't mind breeding their Yello lab to our Male Chessapeake Bay Retriever? The stud fee would be first pick of the litter. I won't be able to do this until spring, but it would be nice to know if anybody would be willing to do this.

Don't answer if you're just going to criticise please. My dog is regestered, and I was just ASKING. I'm thinking about adopting too. I'm just trying to get all the facts I can.

You need to make sure your dog is good for breeding. No genetic problems etc.

Why would you want to breed two dogs that are not even the same breed? Even if your dog is registered..that does not make it worthy of breeding. Does your dog meet breed standard? Do you know how overbred labs are...they are all over the place..not counting the shelters. Labs and lab mixes are the highest breed to be euthanized in shelters everyday. Do you really want to add to that? also do you know when breeding dogs things can go wrong w/breeding or whelping? are you prepared to have to run your dog to the vet or have an emergency c-scection on her? there are to many back yard breeders out there already.

no dog should be bred if it hasnt gone to some dog shows to prove it is an EXCELLENT example of the breed WORTHY of passing on its genetics - and has been check checked for breeding soundness

most people with stud dogs will not breed to females who are not good quality because it gives their male a bad reputation if the pups are inferior.. so show your female first
otherwise spay her for health reasons

There are enough mixed-breed puppies in the world. Please re-think your request. It's very, very selfish when so many great dogs need homes.

I don't like retrievers. They are annoying dogs.
