This sign is from pagan godworship.
To have one is a sin.
Does the place you worship have a cross on it?
You should read the 10 commandments very slowly.

The Cross is a very ancient symbol The history of this powerful icon is ambiguous. The cross was used centuries before appearance of Christ . The cross can be found in Egyptian and Assyrian sculptures, carvings and paintings. There are many different explanations and legends about the original meaning of this sacred symbol.

Blessings )O(
EDIT: Hope2love, the God Odin was also sacrificed on a cross.

Yes, I did. I also know that the so called Christian holidays including Christmas and Easter are pagan holidays the Catholic church took over to appease the pagans they were forcing into Christianity. I also know that the so called first Christian Emperor Constantine was not really christian, but pagan.

Did you know some Christian Churches don't use crosses?

It came from early Christians not being able to write, but needing to signal where their services were during Roman oppression before they declared Catholism to be the only religion.

It is indeed pagan--the Roman cross. However, seeing as it's what Jesus was crucified on, I do think it makes quite a bit of sense to use as a Christian symbol...perhaps redeeming the symbol in the same manner as Jesus' redemption of humans?

I agree.

A Catholic man, however, gave me a citation that seems to allow for following the cross. But I have a debate on that issue.

There shouldn't be any little fish on the back of cars either.

There should also not be any pictures of God or Jesus. All graven images are wrong.

Yes, I did know this.

A huge portion of Christianity is derived from early paganism (look it up), however the Fundies on this site will deny it with their very last breath.

The cross was used as a form of punishment by the Romans and others.
The shape was used as it was extremely painful in that position.

It's a governmental execution device. It would be similar to having a gallows or an electric chair sitting on top of the church building.

Of course it was pagan. It was pagans who crucified Jesus on it! But because they did so, it is now the timeless symbol of their sin and Christ's victory over that sin.
