Agnostics neither believe nor disbelieve in the existence of God-- they aren't certain if he exists. Atheists on the other hand believe that God does not exist.

I was taught this long ago. It was a prayer that an agnostic would probably say:
"Oh God, if there is a god, save my soul, if I have a soul".

Just like some claim to be satanists and they're not, (satanists
are luciferians, and don't believe in satan), many claim to be agnostic. But agnostics don't accept, nor deny the exsitence of God.
They believe in the spirit, and power, and other realities just
like satanists. But where satanists say, "Do whatcha like!" Agnostics believe in right living.

An agnostic believes that there is some higher power out there, but they have no idea who it might be, and are leaving their options open.

Agnostics, in their heart of hearts, don't really believe in God, but just in case they're wrong, they hedge their bets and don't say negative things about Him.

The general agnostic belief is that there's probably something out there, but for various reasons (conflicting religions, inadequate ideology, etc.) don't follow a particular religion or put a name to the something.

No one "believes in" god. You either believe god exists or god does not exist.

My understanding is they don't believe or subscribe to anything they can't prove or experience with the senses.
