Jesus probably won't return tomorrow. According to Biblical prophecies a few things have to happen yet.

For one, a majority of people who profess to be "Christians" are going to be leaving the faith in large numbers. It says there will be "a great falling away".

Most likely this will be due to having to make a choice as to whether or not to take an electronic mark (chip) on their hand or arm, in order to buy or sell. Most people, even Christians, place money and their economic viability above their faith and personal beliefs.

The birth pangs Planet Earth is experiencing have not reached their climax yet. Although earthquakes, tsunamis, other natural disasters and war have intensified they will most certainly become like the prelude to a baby's birth. The pain gets worse right before the New is Born. Jesus is coming back to restore all things. All Creation is groaning in anticipation of His Return, instinctively sensing that everything will be rebirthed into its original pristine state.

As for your question "Would you recognize Him". I hope so. The Bible is very specific as to the manner of His return and what will happen. Many who see Him coming back in the sky will definitely misinterpret who He is and try to wage war against Him from Earth. But the Bible says He will destroy them with "the Brightness of His Coming".

It also says that "Every eye will see Him". This speaks of an event that all of Earth's inhabitants will be able to watch. It even says all the Nations of the Earth will groan and mourn at His Return. That would be those who don't understand the significance of the event, and how to find protection during this momentous occurrence.

As to "Would you join Him?". The Bible says those that are alive and remain at that specific moment in time at His Return will be caught up into the sky with Him and that their mortal bodies will be changed into an everlasting, amazing body that can't suffer death or harm. I'd be crazy not to take Him up on an offer like that!

I would never call Christ a "magician". Not only did He do wonderful things, but Believers in Christ are now also doing the same miracles He did. More and more as His Return Approaches, those who love Him and follow Him will exhibit the same miracles He did...even raising the dead.

So hold onto your hat. You're in for a ride!

He would be treated the same way as all the other messiah wannabe's that have come out in the past couple of centuries. Im not criticizing here, just in todays world, most people would think he was some kind of nutjob, claiming he was the messiah.
Remember Waco, The Branch Davidians, and David Koresch?
Perfect example.

when Jesus passed by the people of the Bible, they fell at HIs feet and knew at once, that He was the Messiah. I believe the Holy Spirit would make it known to me that it was Jesus. I would join HIm, why not? And I would not say He was a magician.

My son's task has been completed. For the record he will not be returning and there will be no sequel. My daughter on the other hand is keen to come down for a spot of shopping, but I've managed to de-rail that for a while as she's far to young to be let lose with a credit card. Meanwhile I'm here watching so who knows, I may still change the plan yet. God Loves you.

According to the Bible, Jesus will come from the sky with an army of angels for the second coming. I don't think there will be any doubt of His identity. Joining him would obviously be the best choice.

I probably wouldn't recognize Him. If he somehow convinced me that he was, in fact, the Christian Jesus in all his splendor and glory and savioritude I would try to get him into a philisophical discussion. He could teach me so much, being God and all.

Not sure that I'd recognize anything physical about him, but I'm pretty sure I'd KNOW if he returned...of course I'd join him! I'd ask if he'd like to go to Outback with me for a cocktail.

I'm not too concerned about that.

According to polls, though, something like 44% of adults here in the 21st-century think "The Rapture" is going to happen in their lifetimes.

Personally, it's a lot scarier to think that so many people believe the end of the world is at hand - and act accordingly - than it is to actually share their belief.

It all depends on what he does and says. He'd have to pull of some pretty convincing miracles in order for me to believe he's not just a run-of-the-mill nut case.
