that would actually be wonderful. But it won't work, because people value free will to much. They want to do the right thing.
But they want it to be their idea. To force is a dictatorship.
A dictatorship has to have a main boss. The dictator!

The only way it would work is if everyone knew the dictator had there best interests at heart. Which no man does. So it would never work. Except if that dictator was Jesus Christ who ruled from heaven. Material advantage would not be a consideration.
He would have the power to make people do his will or enforce it.
Knowing peoples thoughts when they considered war with their neighbors he would get them not the neighbor.
Perhaps one very powerful Cyborg, but then everyone would be working constantly to destroy it. Free will. People want freedom.
