Religious tolerance is a two way street. They claim they are a loving, forgiving religion but yet they do nothing but give themselves a bad name and make others want to avoid them by saying "my religion is right and yours is crap/made up, etc."

They are not true christians, what they say on here reflects what they are like away from the computer. Which you may come to find out that most of these christians are like almost every other person, hostile, greedy, foul-mouthed.

I'm Catholic and there are people that I simply loathe. When it comes to religion, I'm not pushy or hostile. I never discuss religion with anyone, but since you brought it up I'll tell you that discussing religion is a big no-no, together with politics, money and sexual orientation.
To me, God is the supreme being and yes, I think organized religion is all made up--no matter what the denomination and designed to suit that one particular sect. Everyone is pushy about their religion. It's just not the Christians.
Judging by your opening statement, I'm thinking you are not Christian and yet, you are pushing your weight around. So, by your action, you are the very same thing you accuse Christians as being. I'm not being hostile toward you, I'm just expressing a simple observation.

Because that is what modern day Christians do. They are pushy and arragant and hateful. at least that has been my experience in my 54 years on this planet. I was a Christian Only for 24 years and was attacked on a daily basis by those so called Christians who tried to convience me it did not matter what we believed, but all the while they were pushing their own warped belief on me and I was told I was demon possessed by my own father because I went to a different church than he did. I am now pagan, solitary Wiccan to be exact and I no longer have this problem.

You would think they would try to convert me now since I no longer put my faith in Jesus, but those who try to preach to me leave without a word as soon as I tell them I am Wiccan. I should have chose this path in 1976 instead of putting on Christ through baptism as the bible says.

GOD THE FATHER,GOD THE SON,GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT ARE ALL ONE.man has taken each segament of this one truth and has built upon it by their interpetation their religion and failed in their effort to understand the very GOD they say that they serve. you have to believe the whole truth and not just part of it.that is why there is no true religion and thus no tolerance for anyone else. this is a very sad wittness for those who say that they are Christians ( christian-means CHRIST LIKE ) and show the total opposite of the meaning. i must say this there is on true man made religion but there is a pure religion spoken of in the Bible and that would be found in the book of JAMES 1;27 read it and find out what pure religion is then do it. I am a christian who listen more to what GOD says than man says.

I hate this! my roomate is jewish and i am christian yet she has has nothing but bad experiences with people of my religion. All i can do is apologize for us becuse we are taught in church to live by example. We can not judge some one then tell then "Oh ... God loves you" We are supposed to show Gods love threw how we live (by example). It's people like the one'syou have ran into that makes us all look like fools and it reflects on our religion. Most are too shallow minded and say for example, "Oh you are a Jew... that's wrong..." No... You should respect that person and get to know them and their ways. If we don't agree with something someone is doing, we are only supposed to pray for that person in private unless that person comes to us and says differenlty like they want to talk. I apologize for your situation but we are not all like that. Most christians i run in to still practice the religion but quit going to church b/c of hypocrits out there. Please iqunore them or tell them prebulas06 is praying for them! :) have a great day

Their Carnal Christians.
They are not walking the the Love of GOD, but in Pride and other things.
Bless their Little Pea Picking Hearts!
There on their way to Heaven, just ticking off People on their way up.
We are supposed to make the Devil mad, not People.

As a former Christian that took an evangelist course... that way is the truth and the light... there is no other way.

Christians are loving, they want the best for their fellow man, and don't want to see anyone burn in hell. That's why they get so pushy... they want to save you.

Also, some people are so caught up in themselves it has nothing to do with religion and everything to do with them being a control freak.

Some people feel it their job to sell Christ. It is not. God maker of the universe does not need or want us to hard sell His Son. If you want a true reflection of who Christ is and what Christians are suppose to act like read the Gospels. Especially listen to the words of Jesus. He was and is who we are suppose to be like. Christains are not perfect people. They are just you and me....a mess. I apologize for the way some of those who call themselves Christains act.

I've seen may answers and questions that do not show hostility or pushiness, but I know what you are talking about. Its really sad isn't it? People are imperfect, obviously, and sometimes let their need to be right, contradict what they say they believe in.

The first time I thought about them being hostile was one decided it was a good idea to mail me links with malware in them. (No I didn't get my PC infected, I use protection when "sleeping" with strangers.) Up until that point I've seen childish behavior and misinformed people mixed with people that really do have a clue.
