pretty much don't mess with it at all unless you're in the shower....then use betadine. when i got mine i tried to get it to heal for almost nine months....then i visited my mother in florida and spent the week in the ocean....it healed completely in 5 days. if you don't have access to a clean beach.....use sea salt in a warm bath and soak at least once a day. good luck

I asked my daughter how "she" takes care of hers? And she said the same way as when you get your ears pierced. Keep it clean with peroxide, then wipe it with alcohol. When that is dry, gently rub a very small amount of vaseline on it. Once it is healed, do this process only about once a month, like before you go to bed. She said that way, nothing gets on your clothes you wear out. Hope that helped. Good luck

Might sound gross but when I had mine done years ago I SWORE BY Neosporin. It doesn't hurt or sting at all, it keeps bacteria and infection at bay and you can use it as much as you need to. Its a great product, I use it on just about any skin/flesh wound or irritation. Be sure to wash thoroughly but GENTLY while in the shower. Antibacterial soap (perhaps Dial brand) is best... no scented stuff as it might sting (alcohol in perfume/scents can hurt). Keep your hands and clothes away from it as much as possible until you have healed enough to feel comfortable moving regularly again. Good luck and make sure you keep it clean!!

put salt water in a glass and hold it over the new piercing, several times a day. this will help heal it, and keep infection out.

dont touch it !! an d play with it, thats how it gets infected,

Well i used bactine spray or ointment, to keep it moist and lubricated,

cuz i noticed when its dry it gets crusty with dry skin, and starts to get hard and pussed up.

Always keep it moist.

also wash it in the shower with antibacterial soap.

keep it clean cuz infections can hurt like hell
