Still, it's worth noting that thousands of Americans nationwide have flocked to rallies at which military men don uniforms and pledge to seize the reins of power in America on behalf of Christianity. In many places, local religious leaders and politicians lend their support to AVIDD's cause. And at least some of the people at these rallies speak with seething resentment about the tyranny of Jews over America's Christian majority. ~Salon.com

is it a erosion of power by the fundamentals, or a walking away (apostacy) of believers and using gov't to make them follow the next logical step?

The only problem with total religious freedom like the U.S. has is the fact that you have a million people all wanting to do something different. They make up religions like they were a flavor of the week and expect everyone to honor their beliefs. In any society you have draw the line somewhere. The U.S. is a predominately Christian country. If you want your religion whatever it may be to become the status Que maybe you should go back to the country in which it was formed.

Sinclair Lewis once said "When Facism comes to America, it will be a cross wrapped in a flag." Nationalism and unquestioned power are the ideals behind the slide in that direction.

We have come the closest to this with this administration than any other time in history. Fundementalist Christians are in government and pushing their views down our throats and into our laws. We need to stand guard and get rid of these kind of politicians. Oust anyone spouting "family values".

I think it would be that those in power feel that the masses they rule, down to an individual basis, are completely and utterly unqualified to make their own decisions in regards to their own lives and opinions and these same people in power have the overwhelming desire to be the one to make those decisions for them. Unfortunately, things like religion, patriotism, laws and fear are tools these people use to obtain this sort of power.

When we see religion and politics mix anywhere in the world, it's always a recipe for disaster. It's a good question, I don't understand the two thumbs down.

The only Reason Jesus hasn't assumed Command over the Earth Yet, is the Contract HE made with Mankind. That Contract is just about up.

America was founded to prevent this. But how best to control people if they are only taught one thing? This is the best way to control.
