If you were to reccommend a place to meet new people, what type of establishment would it be?

Depends on what you like,What are your interest. For example; lets say you like Country and western music,do not go to a club that plays rap! now before meeting someone you need to find some interest other than meeting someone else to enrich your life. develop a passion for something first and a relationship will come people love people that are doing things with there lives. Cafes are great. I could list a bunch of places, but what I find works best for me is to be friendly, wherever I am. I've met people at auto repair shops, the hairdresser, doing volunteer work, at the dog park, in line at a check-out counter, etc. In other words, strike up a conversation with someone you like and see how they respond. I've also taken out the big city paper and looked for activities I really like to do, like book readings by authors, the theatre, etc., that will include like-minded people. That way, you already meet people who are into sports, art, etc., and won't be too disappointed if it doesn't get you anywhere this time because you've at least enjoyed the activity. A good appearance is also helpful.

To sum it up, it's not where to meet new people; it's being friendly when you're in public - someone others are attracted to because of who you are, no matter where you are. This attitude has never failed me.

Probably church. You have to be careful though, you find jerks there too. Not a bar that's for sure.
