Do as much as you possibly can, but don't rush. I have a massive library to read when I retire. I would also suggest a part time job to keep active, I have seen too many people waste away doing nothing.

I am retired and DO NOT think of retirement as death. Retirement is just the next step in life...
I found places that needed volunteers and went from working 8 grueling hours a day to working to enjoy myself.
If I feel like going someplace I am free to go and my time still does not drag on my hands when I have my volunteering to keep me busy. Sometimes I wish there were more hours in a day. I find I am more busy now than when I was employed and for me it is very enjoyable.

If you don't Produce, you will wither and die.
It is a Spiritual Principle.
Jesus told the fig bush not to produce fruit anymore.
It withered and died.
Keep on keeping on, keep doing things Mentally, Physically and Spiritually.
---and keep on Believing in Jesus.

You didn't mention your reason for retiring. Is there some special purpose? Are you being forced to retire?

One's reason for retiring has a lot to do with it. So please tell us your reason and perhaps we can help you.
