Lets put it this way, my Mom smoked ever since, and the she got lung cancer, and died.

From what i know being around the smoker is just as bad if not even worse. Because you are around them you havew the risks of cancer and many other health problems. Trust me my hole family smokes and i dont so i just stay in my room most of the time to get away from it

Its just as bad if not worse.My cousin worked in a bar and at the age of 42 died from lung cancer and never smoked a day in her life..

A family friend of mine never smoked a day in her life, however she was a waitress for most of her life. She died of lung cancer caused by second hand smoke.

Well it depends how much you are around that person, and how heavy a smoker they are. people can die from it, or be barely affected.
