I wouldn't pay for an exterminator. A good flea treatment (we use revolution) on the cat. Then we use the Raid flea killer. Spray it on all the surfaces (vacuum the carpeted areas first) and that will do it. In about 7 days the flea problem will be totally eradicated.

We just got a new cat, a stray. We treated her the second we got home and then sprayed the carpets. The problem was totally gone in 3 days.

You don't need an exterminator.

Put your cats on advantage. You get it from your vet or http://www.omahavaccinecompany.com use it every 30 days and you will never have a flea problem.

Go to the store (Wal-Mart, K-Mart etc.) and buy insect killer that kills fleas and other bugs. Spray your house to kill off the fleas in the house. Spray daily for at least a week or two.

The you will only need the advantage and you will never have a flea problem again. Mark your calendar so you know when the next dose is due.

Kaska knows what she is talking about.

I don't know if they still make "bombs" - but if they do - you may want to get a few for the apartment/house - and leave for a few hours (taking your pets with you, of course.)

That worked for me back in 1972 - and that was the last flea I ever saw...

just turn the heating down, put on a jumper and open all of the windows, your central heating creates a perfect environment for flea's. go cold and they will die out, also treat your cats.
