Where in the Bible does God say, "its fine to practice Homosexuallity"?

Furthermore, where does it say "if your gay, its ok to spread the Lords word and to teach his scriptures as a member of the Church"?

My question is not to criticise or idolise being gay. My question is designed to find whether the Church has overuled the word of God and whether it does in fact continue to adapt the faith to get bums on seats!

Get off your gay high horses and accept the question at face value!

You are right. The Bible does not say it is fine to practice homosexuallity. It says that it is a sin (see list below).

I think that a person can be gay and still teach God's scripture.
Homosexual (Sodomy) is a sin just like every other sin, it can keep us from God and send us to Hell. Every one has a sin, and many people preach the word of God (with sin in their lives). The problem comes when we try and justify our (pet) sins and tell people that that is not a sin.
If a person admits to their sin and tells people that it is a sin (they are honest to the work of God) and they are seeking God to deliver them from there sin (even if it is homosexuallity) then it is possible to witness about Jesus.

(List)
And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing [them] rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground; And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant's house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night. And he pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat. But before they lay down, the men of the city, [even] the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter: And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where [are] the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them. And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after him, And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly. Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as [is] good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof. And they said, Stand back. And they said [again], This one [fellow] came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with thee, than with them. And they pressed sore upon the man, [even] Lot, and came near to break the door. But the men put forth their hand, and pulled Lot into the house to them, and shut to the door. And they smote the men that [were] at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great: so that they wearied themselves to find the door. And the men said unto Lot, Hast thou here any besides? son in law, and thy sons, and thy daughters, and whatsoever thou hast in the city, bring [them] out of this place: For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of the Lord; and the Lord hath sent us to destroy it.
Genesis 19:1-13

easily, you may desire to alter your wording purely somewhat: Hebrew Bible Roman Catholic Bible Protestant Bible The Jewish scholars finished the version of the Hebrew Bible in in regards to the third century. That textual content cloth is blanketed in the two the RC and Prot. Bible. The order of the books is distinctive, because of the fact of underlying assumptions. The Christian Bible (the hot testomony) wasn't quite nailed down till just about the 10th century or so. After that, it became locked in. This became achieved in a sequence of Church Councils. this text is a similar in the two the RC and Prot. Bible, and the old testomony is somewhat lots a similar in the two of those Bibles, different than that the order could be somewhat distinctive. the only difference between the RC and Prot. Bibles is the presence of the Apocrypha -- various books that have been unknown in Hebrew, yet have been blanketed robotically in Greek language translations of the old testomony that have been in nicely-known use around the time of the early Church. That Greek translation of the old testomony (reported as the Septuagint) became so nicely-known (maximum Jews did not at that component bear in strategies a thank you to communicate or examine Hebrew anymore) that whenever you detect the old testomony quoted in the hot testomony, it quite is often the Septuagint textual content cloth they're quoting.

No where -

in fact it is in Leviticus CH 18 v 22 God hates men having relationships with other men

Also in Leviticus there are rules for priests - none of which give the green light for the above.

But I don't care what the bible says, cause what it boils down to is the individual to have the right to make their own choices even if the bible disagrees.

I stay away from organised religion in general because I find it so hypocritical. (The minister who baptised me was a pedophille, he did not do anything me personally, but at least the church did the honourable thing and put him in front of the civil athorites and now he is in jail).

No where in the Bible does it say that Homosexuality is OK. Your going to get answers , saying the Bible says judge not lest ye be judged, BUT the BIBLE its self tells that these things are an abomintaion, we are not to judge things that are not written in the Bible, we cannot judge peoples hearts, and the Bible don`t tell what every sin is, we have to judge for our self if what were doing is sin or not, BUT the BIBLE IS CLEAR on Homosexuality, it says its an abomination, so thats not judging, its a FACT, if the Bible said nothing about homosexuality, and we said it was wrong, then we would be judging...Is it wrong to say someone sinned if they killed someone? NO because the Bible says its a sin. its not judging, when its WRITTEN in the LAW of GOD, ITS Judging when its not written. PLEASE DO NOT SAY THEY CANNOT CHANGE, there are things we cannot change, but thats not one of those things, we can change our hair, we can change our weight, we can change our partners, we can`t change the fact that were DEAD, thats when its to late to change, you have a choice.

Oh dear, and there was me thinking we'd got away with all this for a weekend, but no. It's back again. Now they'll all be at it for the rest of the day. I think I'll go for a lay down while you're all rude to each other.

Try reading Romans 1:24-27; 1st Tim. 1:9-11; 1st Cor. 6:9-11
these scriptures may give a clear understanding.

In point of fact homosexuality, male or female, is referred to as "an abomination before the Lord." That's the strongest language, reserved for the worst sins.
Homosexuality has always been linked to pagan worship and practices. You can't always help your feelings or leanings but you can decide not to act on them, just as an alcoholic or recovering addict has cravings but is not expected to give in to them. It's not easy but with proper support and God's help, it can be done!

There is no scriptures in the bible that say it is fine to practice homosexuallity, But there are many scriptures that condems it, both homosexuals, & Lesbians, Many verses, You must have talked to a homosexual in order for you to ask that question. They will tell you anything to get you to agree with them. I am 100% against Homosexuals & Lesbians. I will not mis-treat them , But neither will I have supper with them, I had 2 lesbians that lived next door, they finally moved, I never one time mis-treated them But I did not socialise with them either

it doesnt.
but it also doesnt say anywhere that homosexuality is any worse a sin than lying, drunkeness, gossip, murder etc...

there is no sin worse than another.. they are all an abomination in God's eyes. thank God for repentance and forgiveness hey?

Every single Christian, including myself, still sins, wether it be a hidden sin like lusting in your heart, or a socially noticable sin like homosexuality. Nobody is sinless, thats why God has forgiveness lined up for us all the time.

If you wait to become perfect and sinless before you believe you are worthy to spread God's word and share the gospel, you will never ever be doing God's work ever.

so instead of judging people trapped in sin... pray for them. and thank God that whoever your reffering to, is at least doing the work of the kingdom. Pray for them to be set free of the deception over them.

It doesnt but seeing as the modern BIBLE didnt come about till about 350/450 bc and was not written by anyone there at the time to witness first hand. its not a very accurate portrayal of the life and times of the man today referred to as Jesus Christ, rather it reflect the the needs of one of the latter day roman emporors of the time who instigated the wholde selection process for the "New Testament" and therefore it was most certainly new at that particular historic moment.

It doesn't take a genious to understand the body works hard to
eliminate disease, and then humans, straights too, do things that
spread disease.
But we sometimes forget that every human being has a spirit
within. It takes time to heal, and we need to give everyone some
TIME.
