Sometimes i feel myself getting burnt out on working out. In such situations, is it a good idea to take a weekend off and start fresh on Monday? I've been working out every day almost for the last three or four months, and I really want to just chilll this weekend.

You need to take a day off. Rest days are just as important as days when you work out. It is on rest and recovery days where your body recovers from the workout and builds bigger stronger muscles.

I recently read an article that stated how important it is to take days off from work. Actually, you will perform your duties much better IF you DO take off. Everyone needs a break so by all means take off. Week ENDS are not WORK days for the most part. Give yourself a break!

I think you're working out too hard. I'm pretty sure it's better for your body to workout every other day or something like that. At least that's what we did in gym class when I was in high school. So if you want to chill this weekend, go for it.

Try doing a 4 day split..... work out Mon Tues, off wed...work out thurs and fri...off sat and sun....

By working out I am guessing weight lifting. So if you want to do cardio on Wed or on the weekend that breaks it up a bit, but if you want to relax you can do that too lol.

Man!!! You can't go down the road like this forever. Take a day or a week end off!!! Otherwise, you'll burn yourself out and they (your employer) will toss you out the window and hire another 24/7 kid. Be wiser than that!

It's not healthy to work out every day. Work out every other day or every 3rd day. It's a lot easier on your muscles that way.

Its totally ok, I do the reverse of that. Once in awhile I get it together to exercise. Its the AVERAGE of what you do that counts I think. Just chill. If you need my permission, you have it.

I take at least one day off from it every week. Helps you not to hate it.

It is fair game to do that. If you feel tired, it is a good time to take a rest.
