First of all i must admit,i m very pleased to find such a rarely-talked -about subject,which is infact too-much-thought-about issue for me.Secondly and unfortunately i do not know precisely about having milk and onion combined,but as Aurveda strictly blives(and me too) that there are many things which when taken in combination can prove to b even poisonous,but thats extreme talking.
this is called having VIRUDHHA AAHAAR(sanskrit/hindi) ,word-meaning, OPPOSITE FOOD
one virudh aahar i know ,banana-milk,very popular one to make muscle tissue in india,but this is opp. food.
Generally we must give a second thought bfor eating anything in combine with,milk,honey,banana etc

i dont know WHY you would want to drink milk and eat an onion at the same time but.. never heard of it being not ok so go for it!

I don't understand what the problem is with milk and onion. There are tons of sauces made of milk with onions as an ingredient or both as ingredients in casseroles.'

In my childhood / teenage I used to have severe nausea / vomit / weakness / low bp after having veg sandwich with raw onion in it and milk in breakfast .. So I knew onion n milk together never suits me...

I have eczema since about age of 30

Taking homeopathy med which seems to be affective but time taking

yeah, just make sure you're not eating the milk and drinking the onion...

yeah but dont eat to many onions at the same time you will probable get sick

I ate a whole onion on its own about 20 minutes ago ( since i have cold and flue symptoms ) and just warmed up a glass of milk mixed with honey for my sore throat. The onion is so strong that i cant tast the milk nor the honey. I thought id look it up to see whether they are ok to be consumed together. Now although It is safe, i would not suggest having them at the same time as my stomach feels a little grim even though i gave a 20 mins break :)

So long as the milk is homogenized and doesn't have E coli bacteria in it, should be OK, but your stomach may object.
