hmmm... No one can come to the father except through me... That is what we read. But that just means that you cannot come to the Father without first accepting Christ. I believe you can pray directly to the Father and still be heard. You can also pray to the Son and still be heard. I have never prayed to the Holy Spirit, or really know of any prayers to the Holy Spirit. You can pray for grace / blessings which are bestowed by the Holy Spirit through Christ. You can pray and ask Mary to intercede on your behalf but she is not "prayed too", or worshiped.
As far as who hears you when you pray...Ultimately it is the Father who hears you.

When Catholics pray, we normally begin a prayer by making the sign of the cross on ourselves while saying "In the name of the Father, the Son, and teh Holy Spirit".

the word of God says to pray to the Father in Jesus name... and to talk to the Holy Spirit.
So Jesus is our mediator, the Father is who our prayers are directed to, and the Holy Spirit is our helper, the one within us that teaches us and helps us to pray.

According to the bible. (a Christian or Catholic one) that is how it is supposed to work.

not all agree with me, but im giving you a valid answer according to God's word. if you would like scripture, email me.

Hope that helps u understand more :-)

God hears. When I pray, I pray to God. Jesus is a part of God much like your conscience is a part of you (probably a poor analogy, but there's nothing in the human experience that compares to being God.....). Because God is a spiritual, all-powerful being, He is capable of dividing who He is into three differing parts....all with different purposes. It may be, also, that these are presented in the Bible this way so that our meager human brains are able to remotely try and grasp the concept.....something that would be impossible without having interacted directly with the world beyond (which we have not, yet, if we are living in this world in this life). God the Father created (the world, humans, etc. etc.). Jesus (part of God) was sent in human form to try and mend a situation that humans made for ourselves when we used the free will God gave us for selfish purposes (ignoring God, essentially). The Holy Spirit is a part of God that I identify with my conscience. It's an awareness of God being present in the psyche, worldview, intentions, brain, soul, energy and "heart" (however you want to define it) in such a way that God cannot be ignored or His existence denied. One could assume, then, that those who do not believe or who have asserted their own views and vantage points superior to that of faith would have absolutely no understanding of this. Although we all have consciences, the Holy Spirit causes a permeation of one's worldview in such a way that it cannot be denied. The world itself becomes less about enjoyment of experiences, and more about wanting things that are way longer lasting that go above and beyond this world. It, in my view, doesn't require sacrifice (although from others vantage points who do not know the Holy Spirit, it may....). It requires me listening to truth, and acknowledging that enough to surrender to it. It's not burdensome or painful, at all. When I pray to God is when I feel the most at peace in my soul. I feel "right" about things and the alignment I am seeking with God's will. Usually, prayer is enough to bring peace into my heart, regardless of the situation. If you are new to prayer or to how to approach prayer, my advice is to picture God on a throne somewhere, listening very closely to what you are saying. Talk to Him directly, like you would a friend. When you do this, God will hear you and you will intervene in your life situation. Just remember that just because you talk to God doesn't guarantee the outcome you want. God has a will just like you do, and sometimes He knows things that we don't. He would know better, then, what's best for us than even we would be able to discern. The key is in trust. Trusting that He hears, trusting that He knows best, and then trusting that He will give you the strength and wisdom you will need to get through life and situations in the manner best suited to your needs and (ultimately) God's will, in general. Best of luck to you, in your prayer efforts! You don't need "luck", though. As long as you're trying, God will know. :^ )

I believe God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.
All beings in heaven and on earth.

Prayer is for me another form of human communication with God and others.

Jesus takes your prayer to God. you can pray for your angel directly he hear and protects you.then you have the saints, you pray for them to them and they hear your cause and make a miracle, but only if Jesus and God want to, because they are the supreme boss.

God hears and answers our prayers, maybe not in the manner as we want, but nonetheless, God DOES answer our prayers.
