I was in the same boat last Christmas. I am 41 and my high school sweetheart contacted my mom. We live 900 mile apart, but HIS parents live near me. We talked on the phone almost every nite for 2 weeks. I know he was head over heels in love w/ me in school and I thought he was great too. Anyway, we ended up getting together for an afternoon. He had ben married and divorced and has 3 kids. When I saw him I felt nothing whatsoever. He looked almost the same-maybe a little gray, a bit more weight, but no feelings of whatever rushed thru my head. In fact, I was getting a bit annoyed with him after about the first hour or so. He was like a puppy dog on my heels. My entire family was thrilled that we had met again etc. I finally told my mom that everyone is thrilled but ME. But the point of this whole story is this........YOU WONT KNOW UNTIL YOU GO! So go and find out! Good luck to you and have fun!

Yes! You should !! Its always like going back to your childhood when you both sit together and brood over the past. Certain things which were not understood at that time becomes very clear. You will feel a child at heart and so also he. Enjoy, find pleasure on the turn of fortune to make you both meet after so long.... you will cherish every moment because your thoughts will be the same except for the sexual desires!!

It's a good idea NOT to go alone. Having said that, if you want to go, you should tell someone.
Visit him? Erm... 25 years is a long time. I suggest you meet him in a small cafe. That way if you find you have nothing in common with him anymore, at least you met him. You can make your excuses with him and go. If you still get on well, then a cafe is a good place too, you can stay longer.
I question his motives. Why does he want to meet you suddenly, after all these years?
Sometimes it is better to treasure the memories and then let go.
what about the two of you meeting half-way? School is closed during the weekends, depending on the subjects one studies. .

When you say scared do you mean in the physical sense, or social scared. There is a big difference!
Go, but make plans to stay in a hotel, and keep it short. Even one overnight. Ot make it a weekend and bring a friend. Make sure you know the tourists hot spots so you can propose activites.
Plan on having fun, it is a visit and nothing else.

I think you should just go for it! You will never know if you dont go. Whats the worst that could happen? I think you will have a great time and even if it doesnt turn to romance you will rekindle a friendship and have an adventure. Have fun :-)

Follow your gut. If you decide to go, stay at a Hotel, not with him. Get a feel for what is what. Twenty-five years is a long time and people do change. Nothing like seeing for yourself as to the real situation. Good luck!

aren't you lucky ... 48 and a grandma? Follow your heart and don't regret. Life is short and if you think he will make you happy .. why hesitate? Also think if it is going to another one night stand that will break your heart. If yes, forget about the whole issue.

Go for it. I recently got back in touch with my whirlwind highschool romance after many years. Trust me, the sex is still great.
