All religions are made up but some have different morals. wiccans and druids are not based on old religions but are modern like the church of the latter day saints and scientology. Made up traditions.

Druidism died out when the Celts took up Christianity. Modern Druidism was made up in the Victorian era as was Wicca based on parts of old manuscrips. Wicca was based on the Katlyn religion of the Norsemen. I have no need of any God yours or the Christian or Muslims or Sikhs.

Read your history books before you start making statements about things you know nothing about. All religions are made up, even Christianity. When Jesus was on the earth, he wasn't looking to start any religion because he was a Jew, and his teachings were worlds apart from the religion called Christianity that the zealot Paul created.
Wicca is a fairly modern religion (roughly 50 yrs old) but it is based on ancient practices and beliefs, Druidism being one of them. Druids were actually around in medieval times, which is *alot* more ancient than Scientology or Mormonism. I am curious why you call them "modern" Druids as opposed to simply "Druids".
Every group has their extremeists. Overall, Wiccans and Druids are probably 2 of the more "sensible" religions in that they are taught from the beginning that prosetylization (sp?) is something that is never done, with good reason. Also, both of them hold each member accountable for their own actions and it is encouraged that you grow and expand your knowledge, questioning everything you can. All of these are direct violations of Christian beliefs and aspects that make alot of people avoid Christianity at all costs.
So Wicca and Druidism are great for some people but not others. The same is true for any religion (or lack thereof). No one should be forced to believe something that isn't right for them, but Christians haven't figured that out yet or learned how to respect that, and most probably never will.

i agree that all religions are made up in the sense that this asker asks. no one can prove (no matter what some religious people claim) that any of the religions are true or accurate depictions of what happened or what is in the universe. thats why religions rely on faith rather than proof.
i am pagan and hope that you can open your mind and not box up some religions as "made up" as it can be offensive which is uncalled for.
pagan religions are not cults either, go back 2000 years and you will find europe was full of pagans and the christians were the "cultists". but we choose to ignore this in modern day dont we? the king of the jews was not accepted by the jews? whats going on there then, maybe jesus was considered to be a devil worshipper like small minded people today think that pagans do. Paganism has nothing to do with christianty, satanism is part of christianty. satan is the opposite of the christian god and or jesus as i understand it.
christians shouldnt try and blame everything on the devil (afterall lots of pagans dont believe in the devil or satan as he is part of the christian belief system).

the Pagan religions, and the like are all much older than modern religions like Christianity. And of course, they are all made up.
The main difference between earth religions and organised religions is that earth religions seem to spring from the beliefs that people have about the world around them, while organised religions spring from the belief that controlling people through fear is an effective method of government (back in the days when religion was important to the state).
But both of them are still made up. By people.

Wiccans have a sence of spirituallity that is a valid as any other experience provided by other faiths. Like all faiths it has it's bad elements, and of course the teens who are atracted to it do not understand it's core values, just like a lot of teens who are attracted to Islam or Christianity do not understand it's core values.

Well, my sister says that she is "wiccan", but I don't believe in it at all. She was even wanting a catholic wedding. I thought that was funny as hell. I don't know about modern Druids tho. What do they do? BUT I think wicca is a load of bull, just like Scientology. They are just so not believable. I consider wicca a form of a cult. It is even labeled as her religion on her myspace page. It is such a joke. She got into it by watching The Craft as a child. Remember that movie? It was crap too. It is a way for people to try to be different. Not in the good different either. She even claims that she can do magic with her stones. Funny sh!t.
But, yes. All religions are made by Man, so therefor, made up altogether.

First of all, all religions are made up (I'm not trying to dismiss any religions as false). I do not agree with these cults/religions, but one must be tolerant of them, so long as they do not cross the boundaries of morals or laws.
To clarify, something is moral if you would have it done to yourself just as eagerly as you would do it to someone else. Obviously, this means morals change from culture to culture.

I believe that Wiccan faith is just another name for Paganism? Please feel free to tell me if im wrong..but i think 'made up' is a slightly inflamatory statemetn anyway.
If we all respected our differing ways of worships (including different demonination in Christian faith) im sure the world would be a happier place.
