sounds typical for kids. LOL You have to just try to explain to them that it wasn't funny to you at the time because you were very upset and scared for them. Try to tell them that it isn't funny to play tricks on someone about illness or death, etc and how would they have felt if you would have been so upset you'd fallen over with a heart attack from the shock? Sometimes playing a joke can get out of hand and the consequences can be serious. they need to realize that that.

Don't worry the teenage years are yet to come then you wait up all hours for them to come home.No one said parenting was easy but no one said it was this stressful either.I am the proud father of 3 teenagers.....keep looking on the funny side kids we love em but they make us work bloody hard.

They do this because you fall for it! Your kid playing dead is kind of difficult not to react to but remember this the next time they try to scare you and just in their faces! After 3 - 4 times they'll stop!

Kids do that stuff to get attention, plus they love your reaction. It is hilarious to them. I was really littlewhen i used to do this, but when my parents would go out and take me with them, they told me i would sit in my highchair and act like I was choking. They knew what I was doing it for attentionand it worked cause it would scare strangers.

oaky, i am sorry but that is unacceptable. i have children and if anyone of them did some crazy **** like that i would beat thier asses.
laughing and having fun playing is all good, i love it, but when it test your nerves, and you go bulistic thinking something is really wrong with one of your kids, it goes beyond that.
that is a cruel joke, and if they are that damn bored, i'm sure you have walls, blinds, a yard, dishes in the sink, and a basement that could definately use some cleaning.

they're great arn't they!
I left my sister babysitting my little girl - while my sister was moving her car for me to go I said to my little girl- go and hide from aunty Kerry!- usually she can't keep still and gives herself away in seconds!- however I later learnt she had hidden behind the settee- 15 mins into her babysittng my sister realized Molly was very quiet and shouted her- no answer- she then searched the house!- nothing- getting a bit panicky she ran outside to see if she'd locked my little girl out by mistake- she was just about to phone me when mollys head popped up from behind the settee! that my sister had been sitting on!! My sister nearly wet herself!!!
I think you had to be there really!!
I think your children must have a great sense of humour and fun to be around!!! well done you!!

It's great that your kids have a sense of humour but I would talk to them about the sick jokes and try to get them to be more subtle in future!
