A lump a serious thing even though it may be nothing.Get it removed and have it tested. My daughter at 12 yrs had a lump on her breast,I had it removed and tested,It was only a cyst and nothing serious. But who knows ,it could of been. You dont hesitate on things as important as medical issues with your child.Go get your second opinion and even aa 3rd if you have to..

My son had a lump in the back of his neck under his ear for years and I took him all the time to the doc and he was fine. I would be more worried about his sleeping and how tired he is. 6 yr old boys are usually tireless.I would take him to another doc also, and find out if he needs the meds or not because he shouldn't be going on and going off of them.It sounds like he sleeps except at night. I wouldn't let him take a nap after school either so he will sleep at night, if that could be part of the problem.Good luck

Its smooth And Spongy and would move round ( that's no longer connected To something) so as it really is powerful signs and warning signs ! If It change into something severe The Lump will be complicated And doesn't move. there are a form of Glands interior the Neck, One would merely Be somewhat atypical. Get It looked at although ! X

Well, if the blood test came back fine it's a positive sign, but I really would ask for a second opinion. It could be a thyroid problem, it could be lymph node cancer - it's a very common (and very curable) cancer in children and young adults; my doc thought I had it last year, but it turned out to be just a random swelling for no reason. It's probably nothing, quite possibly the anaemia accounts for his symptoms, but check with another doctor to be sure.

I would get a second opinion. Maybe the lump is not connected to other symptoms he is experiencing, but there is obviously something causing him to be the way he is.
To put your mind at ease a little bit, I have had a lump in my throat for a year and my consultant said it is just that my gland is sat over my carotid artery, so feels bigger than normal.
If you cant get a second opinion, take him to a&e and get him admitted for tests. Tell them you are seriously worried.

If I was you, I'd take him to the hospital. I am a mother and my sixteen year old daughter has just died of cancer. I waited too long before I got help but don't you do the same. I'd hate to think you would go through the same thing I am.
