I fell in love with my boyfriends best friend (not great i realise But we broke up shortly after.) We became very close and i felt he had feelings for me also. Nothing happened for 3 years but we became very intimate, but never physical. He felt a great need to be loyal to his friend who i was with for almost 2 years and who he had been friends with for over 10. One night we spent over 5 hours on the phone saying all the things we had wanted to say to each other he had been drinking. Things went bad and i often wonder had he really loved me wouldnt he had made something happen know matter what?

Never believe anything someone says when they've been drinking. It's not a good idea. Most people when their drunk will say anything just to get what the want. Same goes for drug users. Both will break your heart if you let them. Leave now before it's to late.

I've heard this question before. And if you think about it long enough......why would an answer that comes from a person that is impaired with alcohol have any integrity at all??? The MYTH is that a person becomes brutally honest when drunk. Wrong. No matter how you slice it ALCOHOL = QUESTIONABLE JUDGEMENT = DON'T BANK ON IT. True Love MUST be expressed eventually, and it doesn't need alcohol to open the door. Your hunch was right. Real Love WILL come out. You know you'd prefer the absence of alcohol if you were waiting for that special guy to say " I Love you". K.....all done. :)

Alcohol is the "truth or dare" serum. It can cause joy and pain. If that guy told you he loved you and wanted you and admired you, but he's nowhere to be found now. Then he could have just been drunk and wanted to talk, or was taking a chance, or playing games because the alcohol gave him courage. If he was that much in love, he would be with you no matter what or who. That's the bottom line. But it's obvious he loves his friendship even more - and you should respect that and move on. It's not cool to get between friends or to put someone in that position. If the friendship would have grown over time, it could be understandable. But all of a sudden you want to tell someone you're in love and you're drunk? Please. It's a booty call. He just can't get to you or afraid to take the chance to get to you.

Let it go... Blow it out... And move on. Don't waste your life playing games. If he was serious, he would have stepped-up.

Well sweetie. I'm not sure what to read into this situation. If this guy really had feelings for you and all that good stuff. You would know. And since your asking you don't know. I'd say move on forget about it. #1 he was ur ex's best friend not all men cross that line. #2 he might have thought u'd be a easy lay.... So either way you go it's no good. Just find you a guy who isn't in any of this like the one ur talking about now is. Get me.

Hes being loyal to his friend, Yah right, he hasnt been loyal by even having the conversation with you in the first place, he's in denial there, but men are funny, he could have strong feeling for you but they love having there buddies more I think.
There are different levels of love, when he said he loved you when he was drunk he wouldnt have meant in love with you or he'd have given up his buddy and moved heaven and earth to be with you.

when drunk, love is NOT love, it is lust.
the guy has great admiration and respect towards his friend. loyal friends are hard to come by, besides, how would it look if he went out with his friend's ex-girl? to me, it wouldn't look right. he would just simply be getting left overs/damaged goods/a used product. his 10 yr. friendship would have went down the drain if your ex found out his boy was "blazing" you.

Guys have some kind of weird code about dating friends ex's. I will bet everything that your ex knew or knows about the two of you. If they have been friends for over 10 yrs. If they are drinking and he told you that he loved you it was probably just the alcohol. ask him when he is sober.

If you get drunk too is real for now because tomorrow you don't going to remember what was talking about.
For drunk people even the ugly one are beautiful for sex.
