I just love the cheese & chilli toasted loaves in one of my locals .... Huge slabs of bread smothered with home made chilli and loads of cheese.
But whatever it is is has to be washed down with a pint of Real Ale.

Real Ale is the best thing in a pub! I like Rib eye steak and chips! Big tick chips! Lovely! The steak has to be as rare as humanly possible! Pubs never do it rare enough though!

The pub we flow to do an surprising chilli chicken wrap with chips and salad that I finally end up getting anytime we decide for something to consume, tuna/cheese soften baguette is noticeably sturdy too

Homemade Steak Pie with big Chunky Chips and a pint of local ale to wash it down.

I always liked a good artichoke heart dip with crusty bread and/or some deep fried calamari...along with a sampler of the all the brews.

used to be chicken or scampie in a basket, pubs had this trend when I was in my teens and it was lovely, I really enjoyed it. Sadly its no longer recognised as "healthy eating & safe" so nowadays I choose pasta mostly

In the West Country we found "cheesy chips" they were fantastic! Real comfort food.
Can't get them in my area which is a real shame.
