sound like you have sensitive hearing and can hear high pitched frequencies..ever take a hearing test.
I posted a question not long ago on a site that gives you an example of where your hearing level is. check it out.
Check your wiring also,if there are wires that cross each other,electrical,cable..move them away from each other, that could be the source of your problem.
Rewire it and start over if necessary, when wires cross each other,it sends electrical impulses which generate noise levels on your audio components.

Congratulations. You've got excellent hearing since the horizontal oscillator runs around 20 KiloHertz which is near the top end of our hearing range. This used to be a problem with older vacuum tube tv sets, but I haven't heard many complaints with the newest Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) type tv sets. Of course a new LCD tv would definitely not have that problem, so maybe your due to buy an LCD tv. Get an LCD HDTV so that you can receive your local digital tv broadcast stations.

Your set may have a defective horizontal flyback transformer that is vibrating. Repacing it is probably not worth the money. Unless you want to wrap your TV in cotton padding, it's time to get a new TV. Get a plasma, LCD or DLP fixed-pixel type; they don't have horizontal scanning drivers.

Please e-mail me the answer if there is one. I walk into a house with a t.v. on, and I want to fall over. It is hideous.
