What machines have transmission device, or gears? Something like the bicycles, cars..What else?

Wherever different speeds in steps are to be achieved and change of direction of rotation is required, gear transmissions can be used.
Pure mechanical and hydraullic transmissions use gear trains for locomotives, cement industries, lathes and similar machineries.
