Women: what would you do if you found out your boyfriend/husband would hit a woman in self defense?

Women: would you do if your significant other told you he would hit a woman in self defense, if he thought he was in danger (for example, the woman knows martial arts, is bigger than him, or has a weapon)? Would you think less of him, because he's willing to hit a woman?

why wil u think les of him, common i m afeminist, but even law permits self defnce, if somebody is in danger, then no matter whether the other person is man or woman, u hv to hit, cus that other person has taken the place of an animal, i.e. why even in law self defence is an absolue exception wen it comes to murder, u get no sentence, not even a single day

I would say hit her again baby!!! If a woman thinks because she is a woman she can hit a man then she needs to be put in her place. Sorry I just don't think that just because she is a woman she should be able to just hit a man and get away with it.

Now if she just slaps a man for something he did or said wrong to her in a club or bar or if she caught her man cheating and she only slaped him once then I think he deserved that, but there are men in relationships right now that are getting beat up everyday by there so called woman. I think they should knock the mess out of them.

So no I would not think less, I would probbully be glad he was fighting her instead of me, I am only 5 foot! LOL

There is a big difference between hitting a woman because you let your aggression run away with you, and defending yourself against a woman who is attacking you. I think it's a natural instinct to defend yourself, and sex/age/size would rarely come into it. I know my partner would always try restraining a woman first, but lets face it, if he was having all sorts of karate moves performed on him, I think he'd do what he had to get her off!

So no, I wouldn't think less of him if he was willing to defend himself...but might want to question why a woman is attacking him in the first place!

I have always felt that if a woman puts her hands on a man that man has a right to put his hands on that woman. I understand that men tend to be alot stronger than women but I also understand that women can fight men in dirty ways so I feel if a guy truly feels threaten by a woman and she's hitting him he has every right to hit her back.

Unless she attacked you with a weapon, it is not OK to hit a woman for any reason. Read that last sentence aloud as many times as you need to in order learn this. In many states, if you strike a woman, even if she hits you first, you go to jail. The best way to deal with a woman who would hit you is to walk away. Don't hit or talk to her. Go away. Don't stick around the be hit again.

Absolutely no! Everyone has a right to defend themselves, no matter the gender of the person. There is no reason a guy has to take violence lying down just because it is coming from a woman. What matters to me is the overall character of the guy-how well behaved and decent he is under normal circumstances.
