Insecure Explorer is just a bad program
IE 7 simply inherited the insecure technologies that IE 6 already has. I do give credit to Microsoft for at least trying to make these technologies in the new IE 7 less vulnerable to hackers though, but the sad thing is that these technologies cannot be eliminated from IE unless they just completely base their browser on something else - that's not going to happen.
United States Computer Emergency Readiness Team:
"There are a number of significant vulnerabilities in technologies related to the IE domain/zone security model,...ActiveX (etc)...It is possible to reduce exposure to these vulnerabilities by using a different web browser"

On your desktop go to your control panel. Click it open look for your Icon sound and multimedia . Click that open scrool down until you see Windows look in that area for OPEN Program . Now you should see a sound listed under Name Click there look for the word None click on that. That will fix your problem and any other sounds that bother you you can cancel there.
