Now everyone knows that milk is an essential source of bone-strengthening calcium and can protect us from a number of conditions, right?

Maybe not, according to a growing number of critics who have recently accused milk of actually damaging our health... According to recent studies, it shows that cows milk maybe the cause of Breast Cancer... They are now reccomending that Soya Milk should be drank instead of Cows milk.. (Whole, Semi skimmed and skimmed).
What do you think? should we still continue to drink cows milk? Or should we change and just drink Soya?

Is cows milk good or bad for us?

It depends on where the cows milk came from and how it was processed.

Bad:
Soy milk. All beans have phytic acid and soy beans have the highest about of phytic acid. Phytic acid inhibits calcium and mineral absorbtion. So drinking soy milk may actually cause osteoporosis and hypo thyrodism, cancer, etc. The only soy that is safe to eat is fermented soy like soy sauce or miso. Fermentation neutralizes the phytic acid. To read more about why soy is so bad for you click here: http://www.thewholesoystory.com/index.php

Bad:
Milk that is from confined dairy cows injected with antibiotics and hormones fed grain, soy, blood etc.

Bad:
Milk that is ultra pasturized and or Homogenized.

Good:
Pasturized milk whole milk from grass fed cows not given hormomes or antibiotics not ultra pasturized or homogenized. Trickling Springs sells cream line milk is tastey.

Best:
Raw whole milk from grass fed cow or goat allowed to roam outside in the sunshine. To find sources click here: http://www.realmilk.org/

You want the full fat whole milk from grass fed animals because that has a balanced Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids. It has the most CLA (conjugated linoleic acid) and plenty of fat soluable vitamins like vitamin A, and D. CLA helps prevent cancer and obesity not soy. Stay away from low fat anything.

Research findings paid for by particular companies often read as though the competitive products are bad for you. And notice that I said "as though."

Anyone with a research department and a wordsmith can claim that a product is bad for you. For example, milk, whether it be cows milk or soya milk can be bad for you. How? Drink too much of it and you'll find out. Get it?

It's all in the wording. Most people don't look closely at the wording. Consequently, they become victims of hype.

I'd drink cow milk. GO MOO! Soya milk is soya bean? That's nice too.

You see, anything you do will still be bad for you. The chance of dying is 1/1. I'm not thinking pessimestically, it's just true. You eat vegetables, there's pesticide. You eat chicken, there's bird flu. You exercise, some people get sudden heart stroke due to an unknown case of blocked arteries. People don't exercise, but they still die from obesity, etc. Finally, the next day you get run over by a truck.

Till then, drink milk. Say MOO. Milk gets me my ice-cream, I can't say NO to that.

I think I have read somewhere that cow's milk is bad for us. The matter has not been resolved, but in the meantime, there is no harm in drinking soya milk, bad though the taste may be.

Only baby cows should drinkmilk from cows.
I think there are a lot of health problems that are going to come to light because of what we have been eating.....we are in our third or fourth generation of babies that have been getting 'formula' based on cows milk instead of human milk and I personally think that is why on a whole, our children seem to be becoming weaker(eg.allergies, diabetes)

Darling i rekon homogenised milk is bad.
biodynamic pastuerised milk is ok, but boiling the milk from ur own cow is better!!
boiled goats milk is gr8
soy milk tastes terrible plus it can bring on puberty in 8 year old kids!!!
make ur own nut milks( i think its healthiest), almond / cashew /pinenut etc

and honey if u r a broken soul please take st johns wort 3 times a day for at least 6 weeks, this helps to heal broken hearts
evening primrose oil with fish oil is also wonderful
theres indian herbs called triphala, this helps the cells to forget the pain of the past

yeast bread n beer are the worst things for broken souls, but if you take OLIVE LEAF EXTRACT it will destroy the fungus from the yeast
also avoid canola oil, margarines n cheese n pasta. as well as any chemical product and animals cos they have parasites that can depress us

We are not aware of any studies linking cow`s milk with breast cancer. Cow`s milk is nearly mothers milk. Women who don`t nurse children but give cow`s milk to children may become prone to breast cancer. Cow`s milk is the best.

Many are allergic to soy. People must use or not use milk on an indiviual basis. Taking acidophilus/bifidis
supplements makes sure that the right bacteria (beneficial ones) are present to help digestion,
lactobacillus acidophilus for the upper tract ( digests lactose which gives may trouble) and bifidus for the bowel. Eliminates much gas, as well!
