shining figure appears in the sky and says:
"I am the God. I wanted skepticals to see me in demonstrable form."
and then he "creates" some living creatures right there
even this overwhelming and incredible event wouldn't be a conclusive proof because
maybe this giant figure is a just joke performed by some aliens who have superb technology (technology that can produce living organisms (even humans))

my question is : what would be the conclusive proof that a creator exists !!

to J T,
what if the aliens have the technology
to perform those from remote or
to make the spaceships invisible (even our technology is about to produce invisible cars, I have read a news about it recently )

to child of ,
I think alien is a more rational concept
It is strongly possible that there are other living creatures in the universe
aren't there scientific researches about living organisms in the outer space
but there is no scientific research about religions, they are put aside as dogmas
supernaturality is a fantastic concept
the concept of "other intelligent organisms in the universe" is not fantastic as the concept of supernaturality

You cannot prove the existence of God in a way that you wish to prove it, but you cannot prove the inexistence of God in this way either.

I can only conclude that you believe in the theory of evolution. Also, I suspect you were never shown the other side of the arguement in school. That's o.k., neither was I. I was an agnostic at one time (one who believes that there is no way to know if there really is a God). This 'assumes' that the true God, if he does exist, doesn't care to reveal himself to man. But what if our assumptions are wrong?

Evolution teaches that somewhere around 20 billion years ago, the big bang happened. 4.6 billion years ago, the earth formed. Beginning around 3 billion years ago, the rocks cooles while rain fell for millions of years. Somewhere in all of this chemicals coalesced and came alive forming the first single-celled organism. From that time forward, the single-celled organisms evolve into all of the things we see in the world today. Do you believe this explanation of the facts?

You see, the creation/evolution debate is not about religion versus science. It's about how does each individual interpret the facts we see around us. We both see the grand canyon. I assume you believe the Colorado river created the canyon over millions of years. This is you interpretting the facts one way. I interpret the facts differently. When the Colorado River enters the canyon the elevation of the river is somewhere around 2100 feet above sea level. When it exits the canyon 270 miles later the elevation is around 1800 feet. The top of the canyon itself is more than 6700 feet. Did the river go uphill for millions of years?

Also, do you believe that the universe created itself in the big bang or that it always existed? Either way, you have violated both principles of the laws of thermodynamics. Also, do you believe that life created itself? There is no evidence for even the possibility. You have to have the DNA to tell the cells how to make the proteins which are the building blocks of the DNA in the first place. You have a serious chicken/egg problem.

Do you really want to see the evidence that must exist?

If a human like figure descended from outer space without aid of an airraft or ship, performed anything that could be characterized as miracles, after which, he ascended back into outer space, that could be considered credible evidence. So long as it was witnessed and recorded by skeptics.

And, preferably, on a repeated basis.

Response:

I don't understand why they would not be considered Gods if they demonstrated the powers & abilities of Gods.

Our technology is not on the verge of producing invisible cars, our technology is on the verge of producing the illusion of invisibility.

What would be the conclusive proof that a creator does NOT exist - Not even Stephen Jay Gould felt either was capable of proof.

Lol, the logic some people use is ironic. Here we see one who needs proof of God yet would believe in aliens.

Only God can created a living being
I just hope people will realize the devil will try to sway people to his side trying to perform miracles also

Something that can be seen, touched and measured by all persons that want to know, believers and non believers alike. No more "because I or the book said so", just visible facts.

No no.....I'd be happy with a bona fide miracle. Sliding a mountain into the sea or like that would be just fine. Just no anecdotal evidence...I mean puh..leez.

God wold never do that. Then religion wouldn't be religion, ebacuse religion is faith, and you can't have faith in something that can be proven. and also, there's shouldn't be "what if"s or "let's assume"s. Ok?

well.... i beleive in God.... if that happens ....i would not conclude that it is God..... lol.....you have to understand what God is ..... rather than increasing the size of a being.....
