Should I do as I like or continue to strive and be godly

I realize you may think it is difficult or can't be done. Than hypothetically what should one do?

Continue to strive and be godly. If you worry whether you have committed the unforgiveable sin or not, then you haven't. English translations are difficult. But I see the unforgiveable sin, or blaspheming the Holy Spirit, as having grown so self-absorbed and cold-hearted that you can no longer respond positively to the Holy Spirit. Basically, your heart can be so hard and self-centered that you no longer listen to pleas of any kind to love God or others selflessly.

In this event, you would cease to ponder the significance of an unforgiveable sin as it would all be "hogwash" and nothing could convince you otherwise.

Of course, that's just my opinion. Jesus is mighty to forgive. If you love your Creator and His creation then you will seek God diligently and strive to live a life pleasing to Him. If not, then you won't. We can know ourselves and others only through the fruits that we each produce (works.)

Hi Tigger!! :o) I appreciate what you're asking. I mean - IF you're ALREADY 'hell bound' - why not just party it up and enjoy what little time you have left. But as I understand it - the unforgivable sin is the sin of ignoring everything in you [your conscience, etc.] that's telling you to accept Christ as your savior. Which kinda makes sense - when you think about it. Let's say you drink a cup of poison. I say, "Take this pill and you will be fine!!" YOU refuse to take the pill - even though you KNOW you should. What will happen to you?! You will die. Some say - and I tend to agree with them - that IF you are even slightly worried about committing the unforgivable sin - you haven't committed it yet!! So YES - continue to be as pleasing to GOD as you can be. Have a great day!! Craig!! :o)

PS I hope I didn't just ruin that big party you were planning on going to!! lol

Jesus was speaking of the unforgivable sin being the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. This is an altogether different concept than blashemy. It's a CONTINUAL rejection and hard-heartedness towards Christ's sacrifice that results in a spirit of unrepentance towards God. In other words, it's not a single act of sin committed against God. If you are worried you may have lost the gift of God's grace, then chances are, you havn't. Those who commit this sin never seek forgiveness. We, as humans are not capable of any one single act that cannot be covered by the blood of Christ's sacrifice.

There is no sin that will not be forgiven. God is a forgiving God. If you committed a sin ilke that in Mark 3:22 or Matt 12:31-32, then go for a confession..

The unforgivable sin is blaspheming against the Holy Spirit, in a sense not following your conscience. If you're ignoring that nudge toward being sorry then you're not striving to be Godly.

If you're striving to be Godly then you'll give into repentence. ~_^

First you need to know what the sin is!
No one has yet committed it!
I don't think you can!

As a Roman Catholic, i have gone to confession a lot of times, i've confessed a few things, but i never have been guilty of that one. It is logical that you would deny yourself Salvation if you deny God.

We have to pray more ardently for God's forgiveness and rely on His mercy which surpasses His justice.

THE ONLY UNFORGIVABLE SIN IS TO SAY THE HOLY GHOST IS OF THE DEVIL,OR THE WORKS OF THE HOLY GHOST ARE OF THE DEVIL.
