About $15.00 per hour

Hello, I just wanted to let you know what minimum wage is:
currently, it is $7.45 per hour, and will increase to $8.00 per hour in early 2007.

That being said, if you get hired by a major supermarket they may be unionized, therefore your wages will be higher, but you will also need to pay union dues.

Then from what I hear, you would be averaging, 10 - 18 dollars per hour? (depending on job/department/experience/seniority etc)

good luck to you.

Depending on whether the store is Unionized or not...
Loblaws pays a minimum of $9.65/hr in unionized stores
Dominion pays a minimum of $9.75/hr in unionized stores
Sobeys pays a minimum of $8.95/hr in unionized stores.

The rates of pay are usually higher but the hours are lousy, I know people making $16-$20/hr at the stores but only getting 12-15 hours a week

I think Loblaws pays $7.50 during the week and $8.00 on Sundays.
