Depends on what part of the country you are from. Yes, both are acceptable.
I think it is nice to hear....... Clar spilt the flar on de flur ! That accent is really a carry over of Elizabethan English that has persisted in isolated pockets in certain areas of the US.

Flower is the only acceptable pronunciation. Any other pronunciation is a result of an accent, but then they should pronounce "flower" wrong, too.

i pronounce it like flower. answers.com allows for it to be one syllable, as the secondary pronunciation, but with an "ow" sound, not "ar".
