Very simple - he arived on the scene about 600 years after everyone else. So he was waay too late to be mentioned in the Jewish Tanahk (aka Old Testement) and just late enough not to be in the Greek Text (aka New Testement).
And the biggest reason is because he preached about a different God than the God of Abraham and the God of Christianity.
While he liked certain parts of Judaism and Christianity, he didn't like all of it and so memorized what his god spoke and passed it on.

Muhammad was mentioned in the Bible, even more Jesus himself had said
' And I give you the news of a prophet coming after me named Ahmed'
The name made kind of a difference because Muhammad's grandfather named him Muhammad.
You might be curios about that, simply I tell you that the to names have the same meaning, which is 'Hamida' meaning thanked.
I'm sorry to tell you this, but the Bible has been countinuesly changed. That's why we find more than one Bible though Jesus came with only one book. The Koran, on the other hand is still the same since the day it was sent. Look up a Koran from anywhere in the world, not a single dot has been changed.
I hope that answered your question. good luck to you.
p.s. take a look at the Koran and you'll find the story of Jesus telling that Muhammad is coming to the world as a prophet.

Jesus is not mentioned in the Old Testament.
It appears people just make up religions and claim they came from the Bible.

He is not mentioned in the Bible...
False prophets were mentioned in the bible..
Mathews 24:24 " For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect."
The Comforter is the Holy Ghost .. as Jesus was talking about a spirit not a man...
How come Muhammed is a comforter...
He made sins much more than the number of his head hair.... :S
John 14:26 "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you."
John 15:26 " But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me"

Oh yes he is mentioned in the Bible...
1. The seed of Ishmael will be a great nation. Muhammad is from the seed of Ishmael.
2. Jesus said: I must go now so the Comforter can come. He was referring to Muhammad.

Official divine revelation ended with the death of the last apostle, some 500 years before Mohammed appeared on the scene.
Muslims insist on misinterpreting scripture and maintain that Mohammed is the "comforter" when everybody else knows the comforter is the Holy Spirit, whose job it is to protect and guide the Church.
The Bible does mention those who deny that Jesus is God, though.
Antichrist.

He is In Deuteronomy 18, Moses stated that God told him: “I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers; I will put my words in his mouth, and he will tell them everything I command him. If anyone does not listen to my words that the prophet speaks in my name, I myself will call him to account.” (Deuteronomy 18:18-19).1
From these verses we conclude that the prophet in this prophecy must have the following three characteristics:
1) That he will be like Moses.
2) That he will come from the brothers of the Israelites, i.e. the Ishmaelites.
3) That God will put His words in to the mouth of this prophet and that he will declare what God commands him.

The same way Christianity did it.
I don't see Jesus mentioned until the Christian addition of the "New" Testament to the Jewish Torah.
"But they called him Yahushuah" you say?
