Me and my exboyfriend had been saving up for a trip. He was holding onto the savings, we recently broke up and when i had asked for my money back he completely denied that there was ever any money.

I was taken aback by the complete load of BS coming from his mouth, he was lieing to my face. When i had asked if he had my money i was just met with denial or his smirking face saying "prove it". I cant beleive this, i shouldnt have to prove it, its rightfully mine. Am i just screwed over? Everyone knew we had been saving including his parents, but he just denies everything. This isnt right, i feel like im getting robbed right before my eyes. Can i report him? please help... i dont know what to do.

get back together with that looser and then get your money back and then give him a run for his money...the moral of the story is that you can save and earn your own money in your own bank account...his parents should tell him the right thing to do if they had any morals...

Depending on what state you live in, a verbal contract may hold up in court. Defiently file a claim (civil suite) against him. However, court fees can be rather costly, so a court show might be a good way to go... Judge Milian (People's Court) and Judge Judy don't but up with lying ex boyfriends, so those would be two good options. PS You would also get your trip out of it Judge Judy - LA, People's Court - NYC. Good luck!

You might be able to prove he owes you some money, do you have check, or ATM receipts, anything on paper, any kind of journal entry to mark when you gave him money, and how much? Judges like to see proof. You shouldn't "have" to show proof, but legally you're going to have to. I know $600 is a lot, but is it worth the hassle of trying to get it back, and worth dealing with an *** hole? I'd say cut your loss and be glad that jerk is out of your life.

KEYWORD...Boyfriend. You should deem this as a loss b/c you should NEVER open up anything with a BOYFRIEND. There was no sense of commitment from him to you, so why'd you open up an account with someone without at least an enagement ring?

The only thing you can do is take him to small claims court. But it would still be his word against yours.

tell everyone that knows this guy about this...this will put him under ego saving mode. After he pays up your $600 due to constant distress from 'face losing', tell everybody that knows this guy that you are glad that you finally got your $ back from him... (-__-)

side effect : he might go to institute of mental health and seek treatment which cost him more than $600

sue him at small court, if you have legitimate reasons. Or just let it go, he is not worth it, say its a gift and hope it will help him. Don't worry its just a money, it will return to you 3x later on, maybe not in amount of money but goodness will come to you.

You can try small claims court...but you may have trouble with 'proof'. I think I would find 3/4 big guys and have em take it out of his hide! He's a worthless jerk anyway. who cares if he needs a new set of teeth!

Take him to small claims court. If his parents and your friends know you had this savings you could have them as witnesses.

it is better if you forget the whole thing and pretend it did not happen..... you broke up for a reason. so move on. taking him to court would only cause you more pain... by having to see him..

it is only money. be happy you are free. and move on...

maybe this is not about the money. but the fact you are still wanting him.
