Actually, you need to work out in order to gain weight. Do some weight baring excersizes like squats with weights and bench presses. You will notice that you will start putting on weight. Muscle weighs more than fat, so if you want to gain weight you need to start putting on muscle and not fat. You may see that once you start excersizing you will also have some fat deposits that develop. This is normal because your body is going through changes.

I wish I had that problem. Go heavy on the carbs, eat ice cream, milkshakes, sweets. Check the diet aisles for things to take for weight gain. It was suggested when I checked online that a person wanting to gain weight should count the calories he normally eats every day and add 500 calories to that intake each day. And you should eat smaller meals every 3 hours to distribute the food evenly over the day. It was also suggested that exercise is important to build your body so it doesn't get flabby.

what r u doing, i mean studying?:the best time when u could put up wt. is during preperation holidays before exams. coz then you have great tension- that secretes enough cortisol - that makes u fell very very hungry all round the day- and as u r studying u do no physical exercise, ultimately u put up wt. also do some yoga to reduce your bmr. that will do.
