I consider myself fortunate. I have friends that I enjoy spending time with, a great family that I can't complain about, and I am generally happy.
but there are times I feel lonely, feeling that somehow there are more out there, I don't even know how to describe it, but just a sense of loneliness and emptiness inside.
How can I stop feeling this way? because it's not like I am not content with life, I am, but I still feel this way...?

Even though u say u have everything there is clearly something missing from your life. You need some time to figure out what it is. Good luck

It just happens to everyone.. you can never totaly be content even if you feel you have to world theres always something more.. some people find it helpful that when you think about such things.. to think about the life you have and how you are so so fortunate compared to others who don't have what you have.. or just plainly live a worse life.. others find it better to do something to where you could ignore everything that was happening around you and everything that was happening with you head.. in the end its up to you to figure out how your going to get rid of these feelings or how your going to live with them...

I think you just want a little more out of life. There is nothing wrong with that. Try and do something new. You can do something as small as taking a class one night a week. Maybe something a little different might help.
I often have a sense of loneliness too.

How is your faith?
Are you spiritual?
There is more out there.
Pray...ask Heavenly Father to show you what you are missing in your life...ask Him to put a sign in your path...
Lastly, when is the last time you did something for someone else w/o regard for yourself? Service is a great way to know that you have made a difference. Life isn't all about you and your happiness. Reach out to someone and help them. Give people (strangers) compliments. Volunteer.
Nothing feels better than serving others, I promise it is the best therapy!
Good luck babe :)

It is good that you can recognise it but I am sorry that you feel it.
However, you have made the first step - you know somethign is 'not right'.
Go and see your GP and explain just what you did to us here.
They may think you need to go on some AD meds for a while and speak to a counsellor.
Dont think you have 'lost' by going on the meds. Depression is a chemical imbalance in the brain, not a failure at living.
Hugs and goodluck

keep urself busy with volunteer work for the less fortunate
one day ur soulmate u will meet
allergy n chemical tests r always informative, perhaps u r allergic to yeast??? yeast has awful side effects!!!
anyhow olive leaf extract will kill the yeast fungus if u r
plus most people r low on g.l.a U can get this from evening primrose oil n fish oil, this is especially good for 'filling the emptiness'
if all else fails, read the Bible!

Maybe you have a fire deep within that was hidden? try new things, sometimes conservation isnot the best thing.. Those feelings usually go away with new friends and new passion! so just try new things and experience what the world got for you out there

You have 2 options
You can direct this into creative writing. See it as a philosophical problem, something related to existence, reality, soul etc...
Writing down your problems may empty your mind.
Or consult a doctor and he will give you meds for depression.

Do more for your friends and family. When you feel this way, remind yourself to remember them and pray for them. Be patient. Maybe you are yearning to be with them again when you are away. Also, people might feel unsettled if they aren't yet married and feel that they should be. Again, be patient and make good decisions without being too hasty.
