Hello besides what has been mentioned already you can listen in on the international space station. You can talk all over the world. Ham radio opens up a whole new world. You need to pass a HAM test before you can use a HAM radio,
The test consists of many things including morse code - so I'd brush up on that before you even think about it.

it's basically the same as a cb radio w/sideband but different frequencies
