Mmmk, here's the deal. I'm uncomfortable around people, and especially guys (even more especially the cute guys and hot guys, naturally), unless I know them well, and it's a real pain when I'm trying to make new friends. I'm a freshman at UC Santa Barbara, and I live on a co-ed floor. I don't have a problem with that, its actually quite amusing at times. But, I'm trying to make new friends, and it's really hard because I'm so worried about people thinking I'm homosexual or something when I'm not. I'm one of those girls who has an insanely dirty mind, but is completely straight, yanno? I'm also afraid of flirting for some reason unknown to even me. How do I overcome this... thing, and become comfortable around people, especially guys? Help a girl out, will ya? Thanks!

I'm uncomfortable about my dirty mind around guys because I'm afraid they might try to take me up on an "offer" lmao and by the way people, I'm a little on the tomboyish side lol

You need to learn to accept who you are (dirty mind, way you look) and be yourself! If people are going to judge you because you have a dirty mind or whatever then they aren't worth trying to get to know!!!

lol thats really weird that u have a dirty mind but are uncomfortable around guys, are you just not used to guys so you don't know how to act around them? I think you should just try to make friends with guys in general then when it comes to talking to the hotties you won't feel like you can't b/c you have experience and you'll have more confidence and that will come across to the guy you're trying to impress. It's also easier to approach guys the more you do it.

Just tell them you want to bang them that will break the ice ...
after you have been naked and banged a guy a bunch of times you wont ever be uncomfortable in front of him again!

However, if you are a virgin just forget about the banging ... you might as well wait to you get married, since no girl that has not waited has ever had a good "how I lost my virginity story". They all suck ... and usually talk about a guy they hate now ... on the other hand if you are married than it is kind of like a present to your future husband...

my dear, just a smile can open up to a great conversation. but u have to have self-confidence and self-belief for others to feel comfortable with u too. so, i strongly suggest u make a good effort to think, and react positively in whatever u do, as long as u did your best and the results are not satisfactory, just tell yourself it's okay, at least u make a decent progress each day. best wishes!

there will always be doubts when you're trying to be friends with the opposite sex. i think once you realise that your just being friends with them and nothing more, you start to feel more comfortable around them. also, you have to try ignore all those feelings you have towards them and not worry about what other people might think of you. im a girl, and it worked for me when i sat next to a really hot guy when i went out to watch live bands playing. i managed to talk to him (i tried to have confidence in myself and i treated him like he was a friend) before my best friend interrupted and got me away from him. she thought he was too good looking to speak to and thought that he was just like a typical good looking, really hot guy.

Since you live on a co-ed floor, why don't you 'accidentally' let some of the guys see your t*ts?

well you have to be comfortable with yourself....stop worrying about what people think about you. when you are comfortable within yourself, you can overcome that feeling
